The Pittsburgh Steelers will be wearing new uniforms for their season opener on Sunday, Oct. 7, against the 49er Raiders.
Here are the details for Sunday’s opener:The new uniforms will be worn on the field in a home-and-home series against the San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos, the team announced on Twitter on Wednesday.
The new uniform will be unveiled to the fans on Oct. 6 at 3:30 p.m.
ET on ESPN.
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said on Wednesday he expects the uniforms to be unveiled at the game.
The Steelers will kick off their 2017 season against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, Oct 2.
The matchup is expected to feature the first two games of the season against a team with a losing record.
The first game will be played at the University of Colorado, and the second will be at the Air Force Academy, where the Steelers defeated the Falcons.
The team’s schedule this season features four games against teams with losing records.
That includes the Jets on Oct 5, the Browns on Oct 10, the Dolphins on Oct 14, the Titans on Oct 17 and the 49/1 Bears on Oct 24.
The second game is set to take place on Oct 28 in New York against the New York Jets.
The Steelers won the first meeting last season at Gillette Stadium.
