Beer Bread Recipe | Dipping the Banana

Ingredients 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature 3 cups flour 1/4 cup baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce (or apple cider vinegar) 1 tsp ground cinnamon 1/8 tsp nutmeg 1/16 tsp ginger 3 eggs 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup) 1/10 cup granulated sugar (or honey) 1 1/5 cups water 1/7 cup sour cream (or butter) Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl, combine butter, flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.

Beat butter, sugar, and ginger until light and fluffy, about 10 minutes.

Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.

Mix in applesaucer, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and eggs until well blended.

Stir in flour and applesauced mixture until incorporated.

Stir together wet ingredients in the dry ingredients until combined.

Fold in sour cream and honey.

Pour batter into baking pan, about 1 inch thick.

Bake for 25 minutes.

Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before serving.

Recipe Notes You can also use a tablespoon of the batter in the baking dish and then drizzle it over the top of a fruit bowl for an apple-topped dessert.
